EDUCATION

Building Futures Together

At Niwas Housing Finance, we are committed to nurturing education, skills, and opportunities that shape stronger communities. Through our CSR initiatives, we partner with trusted organizations to create lasting impact in the lives of children and youth.

1. School Redevelopment – Balak Mandir Sanstha, Kalyan
With a legacy of over 70 years in education, Balak Mandir Sanstha has been shaping young minds in Kalyan. Our support towards the redevelopment of its primary school building will benefit 700 students from Classes 1 to 4, providing them with safe, modern, and nurturing spaces to learn and grow.

2. Smile Twin e-Learning Programme (STeP)
In collaboration with Smile Foundation, we are empowering underserved youth with job-oriented training in the BFSI sector. The program enhances employability, financial independence, and confidence, helping young individuals transition into formal sector jobs. This year, 135 youth across 3 centers in Mumbai and nearby areas will be trained and supported for sustainable livelihoods.

3. Every Child in School – Smile Foundation
Education is every child’s right. Through this initiative, we are supporting 700 children across multiple locations, ensuring improved learning outcomes, higher school attendance, and holistic development. The program also strengthens teachers and local grassroots organizations to ensure long-term sustainability of education initiatives.

Together, these initiatives reflect our belief that education and empowerment are the strongest foundations for an equitable future.

Population

Empowering Women

Through our partnership with Smile Foundation, we are supporting Project Swabhimaan – an initiative dedicated to improving women’s health, dignity, and self-reliance.

The project focuses on creating awareness about safe motherhood, child health, family planning, and reproductive health, while also helping women gain the confidence to challenge stereotypes and make informed choices. Alongside health initiatives, Swabhimaan equips women with entrepreneurship and business skills training, enabling them to start small enterprises and achieve financial independence.

In FY 2022–23 (Sriperumbudur) and FY 2023–24 (Modgaon), Swabhimaan has directly impacted over 10,000 women, supported the establishment of new enterprises, and fostered healthier, more resilient communities. With dedicated health camps, workshops, and continuous training, the initiative continues to uplift women and their families, creating a ripple effect of change across society.

Savera TCA

Women’s Rehabilitation & Training

At Niwas Housing Finance, we are committed to empowering women and enabling them to lead dignified, independent lives. In partnership with Savera Training Centre Association (Savera TCA), we support rehabilitation and skill development for women from Mumbai’s red-light areas and beyond.

Since 2017, Savera has been working to create new futures for women and children trapped in vulnerable circumstances. The program provides counselling, healthcare, trauma recovery, education, and life skills training, while also offering safe housing and alternative livelihood opportunities.

Through outreach across Kamatipura, Turbhe, Nallasopara, Bhiwandi, Navjeevan Home, and Budhwar Peth, the project will benefit more than 3,000 women by raising awareness on health issues, providing meals, and delivering entrepreneurship and advanced training for sustainable employment.

This initiative reflects our belief that true empowerment comes from care, dignity, and opportunity. By helping women rebuild their lives, we are investing in stronger families and resilient communities.

Inclusive Education for Children with Visual Impairment

At Niwas Housing Finance, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of physical challenges. To support this vision, we have partnered with Sightsavers India, an organization dedicated to eliminating avoidable blindness and championing the rights of people with disabilities since 1966.

Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen inclusive education for children with visual impairments (blind and low vision). The program provides assistive devices, braille and ICT training, and access to e-libraries, while also engaging families, teachers, and community members to build an enabling environment for these children.

In Jalna (Maharashtra) and Sambhal (U.P.), the project will directly support 86 children, alongside training parents and social animators to ensure sustained progress. Regular monitoring and field visits help track children’s holistic growth and learning outcomes.

This initiative reflects our commitment to equity in education—because when learning is inclusive, every child gets the chance to shine.
